All Jews read or are read to the very same scripture everyday, worldwide from the Torah. After the Torah reading, a portion of Haftarah is read. Drawn from the Prophets,It complements the weekly Torah portion (parashah) thematically. Read after the Torah portion during morning services on Shabbat and holidays. But where is Jesus in Haftarah? Isaiah is read but never Isaiah 53. In fact, according to Jewish scholar Hananel Mack, after examining the lectionary readings, concluded that the omissions of any passages in the New Testament as being about Jesus as the Christ was intentionally avoided in synagogue readings. Others are Michah 5:2, Zechariah 9:9, Isaiah 7:14, and Isaiah 61:1-2. If they never hear, how will they be saved?
Pray for God’s people. They are STILL God’s people. We want to see them saved and restored. But peace will only come when Messiah, Yeshua steps out from the portals of glory!!!! Come quickly Lord Jesus!
